Being fully present and grounded opens up new possibilities and widens our perspective. It creates a certain level of lightness and mental space. I LOVE IT!
.Typically I work with organisations who want to create a bigger impact on issues of concern
.I help organisations show the team the value they bring
A Head of IT was taking personally the behaviour of a more senior colleague who had an intimidating personality.
In our work, she found a way to challenge her belief that she must be ‘wrong’ because of his behaviour. Instead, she realised that it was his behaviour that was inappropriate, and that she didn’t need to take it all on board.
She was able to free up her time and energy for the things that mattered to her.
A Head of Payroll supporting 16,000 employees was struggling with back-to-back meetings and had a poor work-life balance. He had the feeling that he was losing control.
Through our work together, he became more aware that he had found it hard to decline meetings even though there was no good reason for him to be there. He realised that he could delegate many of those meetings. This not only freed up his time but also empowered his team.
He became more efficient and effective in the workplace. This also helped him prioritise his family life. The last time I spoke to him he was getting ready for a promotion that he had previously thought was years away.
A Director of Learning & Development for a data analytics company had been nominated to become the next Senior Vice President. She was unconfident and felt anxious about this opportunity.
Through our work together, she was able to reflect on her considerable track record. She started to value herself and her strengths, which she had previously disregarded. She began to feel confident when talking to senior leaders.
By the end of the coaching she was well-primed and excited for this pending promotion.
A sales manager for a major IT company was put on ‘garden leave’ following a restructuring. She felt fully aligned with the vision of the company, but she felt underwhelmed by her direct manager and how he views things. She was being pushed through a rehiring process.
As the client started talking about her manager, her voice changed, and she got more animated. We slowed everything down and turned towards what was going on inside her. She described a feeling of strangulation and blockages in her throat. With my support, she was able to turn towards those feelings and recognise the feelings for what they were. She was able to trace their origins and leave them where they belonged. She was also able to connect with calm and warmth in her belly.
As a result, she is much less preoccupied with the mindset of her manager. She understands as an engineer he doesn’t have the same soft skills that she does. At the time of writing, she still doesn’t have an answer but she had passed the first round of technical and leadership interviews and was about to complete a third round interview.

With these tools I will be able to create much deeper connections with the clients. Some of the techniques are also useful for my own wellbeing.
Being more present in myself and listening to my gut rather than living in my head so much . This will make me a more attentive and a better coach.
I feel I am no longer held hostage by what thinks others are thinking
Since working with Ruth I am more mindful, of who needs to do what , and I do much less myself and don’t do other people’s work anymore . I am much better at holding others to account to ensure that they do what they are meant to I feel feels much more confident and I am now running an event for 1000 attendees. I wouldn’t have been able to do that .it 6 months ago
The sessions are helpful in making me recognise the shadow I cast and my responsibilities as a leader to model the right behaviours but in a way that is authentic to me.
