I have come to this work through my own struggles. Early in my career, as a scientist and in Corporate IT, I struggled with self-doubt, and a viscous inner critic, though I didn’t realise it at the time. I worked hard, but I didn’t really believe in myself or what I had to bring to the table. I often felt sidelined, and I took things too personally. I didn’t understand why things were so challenging or how I was contributing to these difficulties. I didn’t know how to get the support that I needed. It was a tough time for me but fortunately all that was a long time ago!
It wasn’t until I discovered the somatic (embodiment) tools that things really started to change. These tools have helped me to handle challenging relationships, manage my stress and deepen my emotional intelligence. Over and over again they have helped me in my own life. I learned these tools first for my own development, and only later did I train and qualify to use them in my work with clients. I am now a Credentialed Focusing Practitioner and Trainer, a NARM™ (Neuro Affective Relational Model) Informed Professional and in Circling Leadership. It is rare for a coach to be trained in any one of these embodiment tools. To be trained in three is rarer still.
